#Goals for Sophomore Year

Yes, it’s that time of year again, friends. Back to school. Back to studying. Back to seeing the same people walk up and down Thayer Street. Back to my sweet, sweet Blue Room muffins. But this year it’s different. I am no longer a freshman on campus. I’ve moved up in the world! And that only means one thing: Allie is back and better than ever! After spending a year adjusting to College Hill, I’ve decided that I’m going to make some changes to my life here. Over the summer, I made a comprehensive list of all the goals I have for my second year in college. The list is as follows:

  1. Get a cool new nickname to stick – preferably one that is not self-proclaimed. But if you’re all struggling to think of some, here are a few suggestions: Quick Wit G, Swag Master G, The Tank. Just some ideas!
  2. Get a barista at Starbucks to know my order immediately when he or she sees me – grande iced coffee with one pump mocha. Simple.
  3. Eat in bed less.
  4. Go to a Hillel event.
  5. Let my mom know I went to a Hillel event.
  6. Attract the opposite sex.
  7. Admit to my friends that, yes, I really do enjoy that new Justin Bieber song.
  8. Stop using Uber for distances less than 2 miles away.
  9. Actually use my meal credits.
  10. Attempt to put a resume together.
  11. Stop wearing t-shirts with holes in them, despite how comfy they are.
  12. Rewatch every episode of Parks and Recreation.
  13. Host a boxed wine tasting party.
  14. Eat healthy – whom am I kidding? I honestly just put that on here to feel a little better about my life choices.
  15. Study (see, I was getting there eventually).

Even though I have one year of school down, I’ve still got a ways to go – i.e. I’m still pretty clueless about a lot of things at Brown. Hopefully my list will keep me on track towards having the best year ever. Time will only tell if I actually live up to these #goals. Wish me luck!
